No cartoons for a while. For the next 17 days I will be the only investigator for 12,880 inmates in 8 units stretching across 90 miles of southeast Texas with too many cases already and deadlines I may not be able to meet. This is sooooooo much fun!!! Any jobs out there for a cartoonist????

Had a dental appointment this afternoon. The dentist looked at my tooth, told me I had a cavity, and broke part of the tooth to get a better look. The he told me to be back Monday and he would build me a new tooth. AND he did not charge me for the visit!!

I have been just too busy to make any entries in the past few days. Don't think me and my partner can carry this heavy load much longer. Things are getting out of hand - units know we can't cover all of them very well - cases are stacking up and we can't finish any of them. This is not a good situation for anyone - me, my coworker, the whole system suffers.

I am back. Haven't had the urge to blog for several days. Thought I would send out another cartoon just for the heck of it.

My mother-in-law passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 11:00 p.m. She lived for 89 years and two days. She was the last Mother I had since my Mother died in 1978.

Gee whiz! Everybody but me is in Austin at the annual conferance. I have 13 units by my little ol' self all week. Scary, huh? Oh, what th' heck. I can handle it, probably.
